Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Stream Ease is operated by Mile End Media Limited, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17030248, with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

2. What the service does

Stream Ease is a browser-based live-streaming studio. It lets you compose people and media into a custom scene and broadcast that scene live to a YouTube channel you control.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be 18 or over to use Stream Ease. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, for keeping access to it secure, and for the conduct of guests you invite into your broadcasts.

4. Your YouTube channel and Google’s terms

Stream Ease broadcasts to YouTube using the YouTube API Services. By using Stream Ease to reach YouTube you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You must have the right to broadcast to any channel you connect.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Stream Ease to:

  • broadcast content you do not have the rights to, including music, video and images owned by someone else;
  • break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or harass, threaten or abuse anyone;
  • broadcast material that breaches the YouTube Terms of Service or the YouTube Community Guidelines;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, disrupt it, or circumvent any limit or security control;
  • resell or redistribute the service without our written agreement.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these rules, and we may do so without notice where the breach is serious.

6. Your content

Everything you broadcast or upload remains yours. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you — to transmit your audio and video, compose your scene, store the images you upload, and deliver the result to YouTube on your instruction. We claim no ownership of your content and do not use it for any other purpose.

7. Our content

The Stream Ease software, name, branding and design are owned by Mile End Media Limited. Your account gives you the right to use the service, not any right in the software itself.

8. Availability

We work to keep Stream Ease available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service depends on third parties including Google, YouTube and our hosting and streaming providers, and outages or changes on their side may affect it. We may change or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice of a change that materially reduces what the service does.

9. No warranty

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it being uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Nothing here excludes any right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for a broadcast that fails, is interrupted, or does not reach your audience. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Ending your use of the service

You can stop using Stream Ease and ask us to close your account at any time by emailing privacy@streamease.co.uk. We may end or suspend your access if you breach these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a significant change we will tell account holders by email and update the effective date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
